This was a pricing error. The corrected price is $299. Amazon is the cheapest place for the lens that is apparently, not a pricing error.
HH Gregg has a crazy deal on a Canon lens. They are selling the Canon 55-250 IS lens for $99.99 shipped to your door.
This is a great walk about lens, and general use lens. It is a bit much zoom for most indoor situations, but for any outdoor work, this is a great lens.
I am sure they will sell out, the same lens is over $230 at Amazon.
